It is normal and natural to compare ourselves to others. But it is wise to be discerning about the source of your comparisons. Are they models or actors? If so, how much of what you see is real?

Take a look behind the scenes at an award winning documentary made by Dove made called evolution. ? It won 2 Cannes Advertising Awards for its powerful portrayal of unrealistic views of beauty in the media.

Click on this link Evolution to see the “Dove” move.

What is beauty? What is your idea of true/real beauty?

I had a friend, a guy, who used to say, everyone is good looking. I must say as a young woman in my twenties I was not prepared for this point of view and I found it almost shocking, but at the same time profound. It stuck with me over the years and I read that message again, a few days ago in Wayne Dyer’s book “Inspiration:”

…we aren’t beautiful or attractive because of how we stack up against a runway model–we’re beautiful because we came from beauty, so we must be the same as what we came from. All labels such as unattractive, ugly, homely, and unbecoming (as well as pretty, attractive, handsome, and beautiful) are judments designed to compare one person to another using artifical standards set up by ego-dominated people and organizations.

Living in-Spirit means that we see our body with all of its unique characteristics and feel thankful for the perfect temple that’s temporarily housing our true “primary existence.”

Are you exactly where you want to be with your [tag]goals and dreams[/tag]? Or do you feel that success sometimes eludes you? How do you feel about what you acheived in the past?

Many of us are programmed to not fully take in our successes. We leap too quickly to the next goal without taking time to celebrate our achievements. What effect do you think this might have on your ability to manifest? What message might you be sending your soul? That what you achieved in the past isn’t worth anything and maybe didn’t even really happen. When you do not take time to really acknowledge what you have done, it is almost as if your subconscious doesn’t accept it.

To install a ‘success template’ in your life it is valuable to acknowledge the achievements in your life. When you fully take in where you started from and where you are now, you begin to establish the structure that creates the next level of success. If you still feel your accomplishments are not worth anything, consider this quote:

How would we think and act in daily life if we were truly aware of our Divine essence? Obviously there wouldn’t be room to reproach ourselves because we wouldn’t doubt our abilities. In fact, we’d never look in the mirror and feel anything but love and appreciation: We’d see ourselves as fully capable of attracting all we desire; we’d treat our body with reverence and care, giving thanks for its Divine design; we’d celebrate every thought we have, knowing its Divine origin; and we’d become aware of our enormous talents and be awed by all that we are.

Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling, Dr. Wayne W Dyer.

To build your success template make a list of all of your achievements, as far back as you can remember. You might wish to keep this in a special journal and keep adding to it. At the end of the year, instead of writing New Year Resolutions, review your achievement journal, or your [tag]gratitude[/tag] journal and look to see what you wish to manifest for the year ahead.

Seeing all that you are in your Divine essence written in one place is very powerful and grounding. It will shift your subconscious and help you build the next step, send your energy forward and help manifest what you desire into your life.
